Into Indie Games' July 16 submarine part-two guide and 9Puz's launch-week route both treat this deck as the bridge between mid-deck financial puzzles and late Illusion Theatre threads: interview Gripp, solve the sliding moving compass puzzle, recover the broken compass, then return to Laderaum with Mariana's pipe recording revelation.

Gripp-Shop-Interview

1. Trigger the encounter: Inspect three items in Gripp's hanging box until the shopkeeper peeks out and the interview menu opens—you cannot buy without currency, but examining stock counts as a formal encounter.
2. Baseline questions: Ask about Gripp's inventory, the current clues in your Case File, and other crew members before pivoting to suspicion topics.
3. Pipe follow-up: After Gripp dialogue, Sally references Mariana's pipe—return to Laderaum and present the pipe clue to learn it functions as a tape recorder.
